“We do important work.” – this idea is at the heart of Schmidt & Pütz’s new brand identity. Following the corporate design and website, we translated it into a distinctive visual language that tells the story of the people, spaces and work behind the Berlin-based architecture practice.
At the heart of the shoot were the spaces and the people who work in them. Rather than classic business portraits and perfectly staged situations, we wanted to create imagery with character: the leadership team in conversation, architecture and the process behind it, materials and models, moments of concentration and all the small details in between. Images that don’t just show what Schmidt & Pütz looks like, but give a sense of how they think and work.
We developed the creative direction, selected a photographer whose perspective matched our idea and translated the concept into a detailed briefing. On set, we took care of creative direction and staging, shaping perspectives, light, situations and details. Together with the photographer, we then refined the image selection and final look and coordinated the project through to delivery.
The result is a visual language that carries the character of the new brand identity forward. Corporate design, website and photography come together naturally, each expressing in its own way what Schmidt & Pütz confidently puts into words: We do important work.
