Tucked away in a second courtyard, the house is framed by two generous terraces and a lush private garden. Located on one of Porto's most beautiful streets, Rua do Almada, we were captivated by the location from the start. The exterior, clad in corrugated metal, is inspired by the industrial building that once stood here. Inside, the aesthetic is minimalist, with subtle references to the factory style: raw concrete block walls and terrazzo in contrast with warm wood floorings and a playful sweeping staircase that spans all three floors.
The generous garden provides area for plants, seating, relaxing and working. The ground floor houses the kitchen, opening out to a spacious terrace and the garden at the back. On the first floor, the bedroom incorporates a walk-in closet with internal lighting that acts as a room divider. On the second floor we’ve set up the living room, with a spacious custom-designed sofa/bed. Throughout the house, you’ll find carefully curated details, artworks and handicraft pieces from cool Porto artisans that we love. Bright colors complement the concept and give life to a one-of-a-kind holiday rental with a dedicated logo, website and social media presence.
